

Following our usual logical and well-thought-out decision-making process, Bill and I decided on the last weekend of April to go to Jazzfest on the first weekend of May. It seemed to make sense to take the car because a) we couldn't afford to fly, b) Bill is a river guy and wanted to see the river towns because the Mississippi is at a very high mark and c) you don't need a suitcase, just a laundry basket. After barely covering the homefront--throw cash down and run for your life--and strong arming employees into being in charge (hint: always pick the non-drinker with kids--thanks, Lisa! } we took off Monday and headed for the great unknown.
